’21st Century Pop Icon’ BTS again conquered the US Billboard’s main single chart with ‘My Universe’, a collaboration song with Coldplay.
US Billboard announced on the 4th that ‘My Universe’ released by BTS along with Coldplay on the 24th of last month had topped the ‘Hot 100’ chart (as of October 9).
With this, BTS topped the ‘Hot 100’ with a total of 6 songs starting from their digital single ‘Dynamite’ released in August last year, the remix version of ‘Savage Love’ in which they participated, the title song ‘Life Goes On’ from the album ‘BE’, digital singles ‘Butter’, ‘Permission to Dance’, and ‘My Universe’ .
In an article posted on the official website of Billboard, Billboard said, “After ‘Dynamite’, BTS topped the chart with six songs including ‘My Universe’.”
Also, according to Billboard, ‘My Universe’ is the first #1 song jointly created by two groups with experience in #1 on the ‘Hot 100’ in Billboard’s history, and BTS put their name on the ‘Hot Rock & Alternative Song’ chart and ‘Hot Alternative Song’ chart for the first time with ‘My Universe’.
BTS took first place on the Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart for 17 times, starting with ‘Dynamite’ (3 times), a remix version of ‘Savage Love’ in which they participated (1), the title song ‘Life Goes On’ from the album ‘BE’ (1), ‘Butter’ (10), ‘Permission to Dance’ (1), and ‘My Universe’ (1).
