BTS ‘PTD’ dance challenge craze

BTS began its first global challenge on YouTube Shorts at 10 p.m. on Sunday. You can participate by uploading a video of you dancing “Permission to Dance” through YouTube Shorts.

“Some of the challenge videos selected by BTS will be introduced through a compilation video later, and a compilation video will be produced with the consent of the producer for the selected works, including hashtags,” the agency Big Hit Music said. As of 6 a.m. on the 26th, less than three days after the start of the challenge, more than 42,000 “Permission to Dance Challenge” hashtags were confirmed. Unlike the existing BTS choreography, which was difficult to follow with fast beats and complex and detailed movements, it is said that participation in the challenge is increasing as anyone can learn easily this time.

The U.S. Billboard said, “The moves are relatively simple, but BTS started the challenge after giving ARMYs enough time to practice and learn the dance.” In fact, BTS filmed and uploaded choreography videos several times through various social media such as BangtanTV and YouTube Shorts so that participants could learn the choreography. Another reason for participating in the challenge is that “Permission to Dance” topped the Billboard chart.
