BTS member V has achieved significant success in Japan with his featured song “Wherever U R”, which reached the top of the Oricon Chart. Released as a gift to fans on his birthday on December 30th, V collaborated with American indie singer UMI on the song. The track has been warmly received in Japan, securing high rankings on various platform charts, including Oricon.
On the day of its release, “Wherever U R” debuted at number one on the Oricon Daily Digital Single Chart. It also attained the top spot in the ‘Single Download’ ranking across all genres at the Oricon Music Store on January 6th. For the week of December 27, 2023, to January 2, 2024, the song placed second on the weekly chart.
