BTS’s Jungkook has achieved global recognition with his solo single ‘Seven,’ winning the ‘International Song of the Year’ category at the 2023 TikTok Thailand Awards. TikTok Thailand’s official account announced on October 29th that Jungkook’s first solo single ‘Seven’ had received this prestigious award.
Jungkook expressed his gratitude through a video message, saying, “‘I would like to thank you for making my song ‘Seven’ the Best International Song of the Year at the ‘2023 TikTok Thailand Awards.’ I am truly thankful for your support. Thank you.”
Since its release on July 14th, ‘Seven’ has gained immense popularity on TikTok, being used in over 1.6 million videos with the hashtag ‘jungkookseven’ amassing over 6.5 billion views. The song made its debut at the top of Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart, and it held the number one position on the ‘Global (Excluding the US)’ chart for nine consecutive weeks and the ‘Global 200’ chart for seven consecutive weeks. Additionally, it spent 13 weeks on the ‘Hot 100’ chart, 15 weeks on the ‘Global (Excluding the US)’ chart, and ‘Global 200’ chart.
‘Seven’ also made history on Spotify by reaching 1 billion streams (unfiltered) within just 108 days, marking the fastest achievement of this milestone on the platform. Jungkook is set to release his first full solo album, ‘GOLDEN,’ on November 3rd, drawing inspiration from his “golden moments.”
