V’s ‘Layover’ made its debut on the ‘Official New Zealand Music Charts’ in 3rd place on September 18, a record high for a Korean solo artist. It continued to rank within the top 20 for five consecutive weeks, establishing itself as the longest-charting Korean solo artist. All the tracks from the ‘Layover’ album also secured spots on the ‘HOT 40 Singles’ chart, showcasing its strong streaming and sales power.
Since releasing his solo album ‘Layover’ on September 8, V has been proving his global popularity by charting not only in South Korea but also on music charts worldwide. Using data from various sources, the ‘Hanterchart,’ a comprehensive chart, showed that he conquered the charts in the United States, Japan, and China, ultimately securing the top position in the United States for four consecutive weeks, demonstrating his immense solo power.
