The K-pop group ENHYPEN has reached a new milestone by topping the Japanese Oricon weekly album chart with their latest release. As per the latest Oricon chart (dated December 4, covering the period from November 20 to 26), their fifth mini-album ‘ORANGE BLOOD’ debuted at number one with an impressive sale of 188,000 copies, surpassing their previous mini-album ‘DARK BLOOD’, which had initial sales of 168,000 copies.
ENHYPEN’s achievement with ‘ORANGE BLOOD’ has placed them as a joint second among foreign artists in terms of consecutive number ones on the weekly album chart. Starting from their second mini-album ‘BORDER: CARNIVAL’, all seven albums released in Korea and Japan have reached the top spot consecutively.
In addition to its success in Japan, ‘ORANGE BLOOD’ set a new record for the group’s first-week sales in Korea, selling 1,871,269 copies according to Hanteo Chart. The album also marked a significant international presence, tying their personal best by entering the U.S. Billboard 200 at 4th place (dated December 2).
Furthermore, ENHYPEN is set to perform at the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’ on November 28, showcasing their growing influence and success in the global music industry.
