“Irreplaceable Solo Queen”… Sunmi’s Zombie Action … 15 years of responsibility in Sunmi Pop ‘1/6’

Singer Sunmi once again tried to transform into ‘Sunmi Pop’ with action added. A showcase to commemorate the release of Sunmi’s 3rd mini album ‘1/6’ was held at 3 pm on the 6th. Sunmi said, “I made a new attempt with a lively concept.” Sunmi composed four songs and wrote the lyrics for all the songs on the album, revealing her color in a deep way. Sunmi said, “I tried to make a strong impression with ‘tail’, and I wanted to show a light and free image this time. I hope that those who are lethargic and weary will be comforted by listening to this album. This song is like those in the early 2000s, and I wanted to show a non-heavy feeling.” Compared to the previous songs, the beat is really fast.”
Sunmi took on a new challenge by digesting a shooting action scene fighting zombies in the music video. Sunmi said, “I received action training at a stunt company that worked with ‘Kingdom’ and ‘Train to Busan’. It was a pity that I couldn’t fully digest it because I didn’t have enough time, but the martial arts director and music video director were satisfied.”
Sunmi said, “I want to hear that ‘It’s Sunmi’. I want to become an artist that cannot be easily imitated. Thank you so much for calling me ‘Sunmi Pop’.” Sunmi debuted as Wonder Girls in 2007 and was loved as a national girl group by releasing numerous hit songs such as ‘Tell Me’, ‘So Hot’ and ‘Nobody’. Although she stopped promoting in 2010, she made a successful solo debut in 2013 with ’24 Hours’ and ‘Full Moon’ one after another. Sunmi said, “It’s been 15 years since my debut and 9 years as a solo artist. I am thankful that there are still many people waiting for me.”
Sunmi’s ‘1/6’ was  released at 6 pm on the 6th (local time in Korea).
