ITZY launches their new mini album ‘BORN TO BE’ and its title track ‘UNTOUCHABLE’ on January 8th. Known for their dynamic performances and high energy, ITZY continues to solidify their position as K-pop’s leading performance queens with this much-anticipated album. The opening track ‘BORN TO BE’ and the song ‘Mr. Vampire’ from the album have already climbed to the top of YouTube’s trending worldwide chart, showcasing the global anticipation for ITZY’s new release.
The mini album ‘BORN TO BE’ conveys a bold message of moving forward in the vast world as one desires, building on ITZY’s core music identity of self-respect and love, which they have emphasized since their debut with ‘DALLA DALLA’. This album takes a more daring step in expressing freedom and surpassing personal limits.
The title track ‘UNTOUCHABLE’ features choreography by world-renowned choreographer Kiel Tutin and Song Heesoo from the Mnet’s ‘Street Dance Girls Fighter’ 2022 winning team ‘Turnz’, hinting at an extraordinary performance. The song was penned by Isran and renowned lyricist Bang Hye-hyun, with contributions from Maria Marcus, who has worked with several K-pop artists, ensuring a well-crafted album. The members sing about facing the world’s conflicts and challenges together, aiming to energize listeners.
‘BORN TO BE’ includes ten tracks, featuring ‘UNTOUCHABLE’, ‘Mr. Vampire’, ‘Dynamite’, ‘Escalator’, and solo songs by each member, marking the first time ITZY members have participated in writing and composing their solo tracks, showcasing their musical talents.
To celebrate the album release and their comeback, ITZY has prepared various contents. A countdown live will be simultaneously broadcast on JYP’s official YouTube channel and the Melon music platform at 5 PM, an hour before the release. At 7 PM on the same day, they will share their comeback story through the ‘Melon Spotlight LIVE’, an exclusive live event on Melon.
On February 24th and 25th, ITZY will hold a solo concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, kicking off their second world tour ‘ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR’.
