NewJeans has successfully made a remarkable debut on the Billboard charts with their Japanese single.
According to the latest charts released by Billboard on July 2 (dated July 6), NewJeans’ Japanese debut single “Supernatural” has entered the ‘Global (excluding the US)’ chart at 14th place and the ‘Global 200’ chart at 25th place. Additionally, the single’s B-side track “Right Now” also secured spots on both charts, signaling the group’s rising global popularity.
NewJeans’ previous double single, released in May, featuring the title track “How Sweet” and the B-side “Bubble Gum,” continues to perform well, maintaining its presence on the ‘Global (excluding the US)’ and ‘Global 200’ charts for five consecutive weeks. With this, NewJeans has placed all four tracks from “How Sweet” and “Supernatural” on the Billboard global song charts, demonstrating their worldwide appeal.
“Supernatural” has also topped the real-time charts on domestic music platform Bugs (as of 4 PM on July 2) and climbed to 8th place on Melon’s ‘Top 100’ (as of 11 PM on July 2). Notably, achieving high rankings on domestic music charts is rare for a Japanese single. “Supernatural” entered Melon’s ‘Top 100’ at 34th place on its release day (June 21) and has steadily climbed the ranks since.
Meanwhile, NewJeans recently held their fan meeting, “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome,” on June 26-27, drawing a total audience of approximately 91,200 fans.
