Seventeen released their ninth mini album ‘Attacca’ on the 23rd, and made a comeback after 4 months since ‘Your Choice’.
‘Attacca’ is an album that further expands the way Seventeen can show love.
Wonwoo-Mingyu’s unit single ‘Bitter Suite’, which opened the ‘Power of Love’ project, depicted the dilemma between love and friendship, and in the previous work, ‘Your Choice’, they drew a story of courageously confessing my heart to you, who made me realize the feeling of love. In ‘Attacca’, various forms of love meet passion and reveal a deeper emotional line.
With ‘Your Choice’, Seventeen has already achieved the feat of entering #15 on the US Billboard’s main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ for the first time. It was also listed as a ‘Quadruple Million Seller’.
This time, Seventeen recorded 1.41 million domestic and foreign pre-orders in just one day of pre-order, followed by album sales approaching 500,000 copies within 20 hours of the official album release. Upon its release on the 22nd, ‘Attacca’ recorded sales of over 100,000 copies and climbed to the top of the Oricon Daily Chart, surpassing 160,000 copies in the first week, and topped the weekly album rankings.
As their careers accumulated and grew, the members’ thoughts and values of the music they put in their albums also grew, which became a factor that allowed them to meet a different charm of Seventeen with each album.
