Stray Kids are set to headline major European festivals, marking a significant achievement as they become the first K-pop boy group to do so. According to JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids will perform as headliners at Italy’s “I-Days” in Milan and “BST Hyde Park” in London, England, in July. Their appearances at these festivals underscore their global appeal and the growing influence of K-pop on the world music stage.
On July 12, Stray Kids will take the stage at the San Siro Stadium in Milan for “I-Days,” followed by a performance at Hyde Park in London on July 14 for “BST Hyde Park.” These festivals have hosted global artists like Green Day, Liam Gallagher, Blink 182, Justin Bieber, and this year’s lineup includes legendary acts such as Metallica, Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, Bring Me The Horizon, and Sum 41. Stray Kids’ participation as the first K-pop act and headliners at these events highlights their rising stature in the international music scene.
Recently, Stray Kids made history by attending the “Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes” charity event in Paris, France, as the first K-pop boy group ever. The event, organized by the French Hospital Foundation chaired by France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, aims to raise funds for hospitalized children and teenagers. Stray Kids showcased their talent with performances of “Thunderous” from their third full album “MAXIDENT,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the third consecutive time, “Topline (Feat. Tiger JK),” and their hit song “God’s Menu,” reinforcing their reputation as “performance masters.”
Stray Kids continue to make impressive strides on various fronts, recently celebrating their twelfth YouTube music video reaching over 100 million views with “ROCK (Le),” maintaining their title as the “most 100 million-viewed MVs among 4th generation K-pop boy groups.” They are also nominated for “Group of the Year” at the upcoming People’s Choice Awards in February and have received nominations for “K-pop Artist of the Year” and “K-pop Song of the Year” at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, scheduled for April 1st, showcasing their global popularity and recognition.
