The U.S. Grammy Awards, which was nominated for the group BTS (BTS), is likely to be postponed in the aftermath of the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron mutation.
The U.S. music media Billboard and the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that the 64th Grammy Awards, scheduled to be held in Los Angeles (LA) on the 31st, may be delayed. An official familiar with the awards schedule said the recording academy, which hosts the Grammy Awards, is considering delaying this year’s event in consideration of the spread of Omicron.
The Grammy Awards was postponed from January 31 to March 14 last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, BTS was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.
