TWICE’s ‘Billboard 200′ 6th place “We will achieve more future-oriented growth with our fans”

Girl group TWICE recorded its highest ranking on the US Billboard main chart. TWICE’s new album ‘Taste of Love’ ranked 6th on one of the Billboard 3 main charts ‘Billboard 200’ on the 20th (local time). In February 2020, amidst overseas love calls, it announced a strategic partnership with Republic Records, one of the top US labels, and started its worldwide movement. The Republic Records under Universal Music, which Billboard selected as the No. 1 label for 4 consecutive years, called JYP Entertainment the ‘best label of K-pop’, and the two companies promised to show the new future of K-pop to global fans through TWICE. Media such as Forbes and Billboard expressed their expectations for cooperation with JYP Entertainment and Republic Record. Two months later, TWICE showed tangible moves by strengthening global interactions. They independently launched the YouTube original series ‘TWICE: Seize the Light’ for the first time in a K-pop girl group, and released eight-part content to 81 regions around the world. In June 2020, TWICE’s 9th mini-album ‘MORE & MORE’ entered the ‘Billboard 200’ chart for the first time and announced its popularity in the country. To repay the love, in August, they released a sound source ‘MORE & MORE’ sang in English around the world and built up ties with global fans. In December, with the album ‘Eyes wide open’, it achieved 72nd place on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart, 2nd place on ‘World Album’ and 12th place on ‘Top Album Sales’. On the Billboard main chart ‘Artist 100’, it ranked 73rd, showing a remarkable rise. In January this year, ‘CRY FOR ME’ topped the Billboard ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart, and the members participated in the live event ‘TIME100 Talks’ hosted by TIME, an American weekly magazine. In June 2021, one year after they first took their steps on the Billboard main chart, an indicator of global performance, TWICE rose 194 places from the 200th place on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart to 6th with their 10th mini album ‘Taste of Love’. It climbed to the top of the ‘Top Album Sales’ chart and wrote a solid growth history of the ‘K-pop representative girl group’.
