TWS (Shin-Yu, Do-Hoon, Young-Jae, Han-Jin, Ji-Hoon, Kyung-Min) is back, ready to continue the ‘First Meeting Syndrome.’
Their new mini-album ‘SUMMER BEAT!’ releases today at 6 PM, exploring the deepening relationships and the joy of togetherness following the exhilarating ‘First Meeting’ from their first mini-album ‘Sparkling Blue.’ The subtitle ‘Our Memories: Now’ signifies that the memories made with TWS during summer vacation are ongoing.
The title track ‘If I’m S, You Be My N’ is a song that vividly captures TWS’s summer and the current moment. It’s a hybrid pop genre track that combines funky rhythms with vibrant synth sounds, highlighting TWS’s signature refreshing and bright musical style.
The song uses the metaphor of the ‘S’ and ‘N’ poles of a magnet to describe the attraction between opposites, conveying the delightful anticipation of discovering the reasons behind this attraction. It illustrates the gradual process of different individuals becoming one.
‘SUMMER BEAT!’ also metaphorically represents the heartbeat felt when being with TWS. The group, who said “See you tomorrow, goodbye” in their debut song ‘First Meetings Never Go As Planned,’ now shares their friendship and dreams through various genres in this mini-album, reflecting the theme of ‘summer days together.’
The album opens with the playful track ‘You+Me=7942,’ which cleverly compares friendships to mathematical formulas. The powerful downbeat drum sound, fast-paced arrangement, and fun sounds like school bells announce TWS’s exciting and cheerful summer vacation.
The title track ‘If I’m S, You Be My N’ follows, evoking excitement, while ‘Hey! Hey!’ depicts the story of boys running towards their goals without stopping. The intense sound of ‘Double Take’ expresses the confidence of captivating everyone’s attention in a restarted competition.
Then, the acoustic guitar and warm-toned synth sounds of ‘If I Were the Sun’ touch the hearts of their fans, known as 42 (Sa-i).
TWS’s second mini-album ‘SUMMER BEAT!’ has already surpassed 500,000 pre-orders as of June 22, signaling another successful release.
