This achievement comes just 69 days after the song’s release on July 7th, marking NewJeans’ eighth song to reach the 100 million stream mark.
“NewJeans” is known for its innovative lyrics that incorporate the group’s name and its sleek melody. Prior to the album’s release, the song was pre-released alongside “Super Shy” and quickly topped the real-time charts of major domestic music streaming sites. Moreover, “NewJeans” has enjoyed a steady run of popularity, charting on the U.S. Billboard’s “Global 200” and “Global (excluding the U.S.)” charts for nine consecutive weeks as of September 16th.
All six songs from the “Get Up” mini-album, including “NewJeans,” have garnered strong popularity on Spotify. “Super Shy” achieved 200 million streams in the shortest period of time for NewJeans (60 days), and “ETA” is also on the verge of reaching 100 million streams. The combined cumulative play count for the songs from “Get Up” on Spotify has surpassed 567.94 million streams as of September 14th.
