BTS Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ Breaks Through 1.5 Billion Streams on Spotify in 259 Days, Setting New Records as the Fastest and First

BTS’s Jungkook continues to set new records with his solo single ‘Seven’, surpassing 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. Released in July last year, ‘Seven’ achieved this milestone in less than a year, specifically 259 days, showcasing Jungkook’s significant impact on the global music scene. This accomplishment positions him as the fastest among all Asian group and solo artists on Spotify to reach 1.5 billion streams, also marking a first for a K-pop solo track.

‘Seven’ ranks third in the history of Spotify to hit 1.5 billion streams so rapidly, following Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ and The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘STAY’. Additionally, it’s the fastest among songs released in 2023 and debut tracks to reach this streaming milestone, earning Jungkook multiple titles of ‘fastest’ and ‘first’ in various record-breaking achievements.

Previously, Jungkook established three world records with ‘Seven’, including the fastest track to achieve 1 billion streams on Spotify before filtering. He also set records for the highest weekly streaming count for a male artist track globally with 89,748,171 streams after filtering and the quickest to reach 100 million streams after filtering, all officially recognized and listed by the Guinness World Records.
