BTS’s Jungkook’s ‘My You’ Surpasses 40 Million Views on YouTube, Showcasing Global Popularity

BTS’s Jungkook has once again demonstrated his global popularity as his self-composed song ‘My You’ surpassed 40 million views on YouTube. The track was shared on BTS’s official YouTube channel ‘BANGTANTV’ under the title ‘My You by Jung Kook #2022BTSFESTA’ and has captivated millions of viewers worldwide.

‘My You,’ which Jungkook produced, wrote, and composed, is a heartfelt dedication to fans in celebration of BTS’s ninth anniversary. Despite the lack of promotion or official release, the song has garnered significant attention and love from listeners worldwide. On Spotify, ‘My You’ has achieved over 92 million streams and is rapidly approaching the 100 million mark.

Upon its release on YouTube, ‘My You’ quickly gained over 8.75 million views and 1.92 million likes, ranking as the most viewed video globally on the day of its release. The song also trended in 53 countries, securing the second spot on YouTube’s global music video chart and topping the trending videos in the United States.

Jungkook’s earlier self-composed track ‘Still With You,’ released as a free tribute song on SoundCloud for BTS’s seventh anniversary, has also shown remarkable popularity. The audio video for ‘Still With You’ has surpassed 45 million views on YouTube and has accumulated 180 million streams on Spotify.

Both ‘Still With You’ and ‘My You’ have dominated the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, claiming the first and second positions, respectively. ‘Still With You’ also made history by becoming the first solo K-pop song to top Spotify’s Viral Song Global.
