BTS’s V Lands at 51st on Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Slow Dancing’

BTS member V, also known as Taehyung, has made an impressive entry into the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his solo album’s title track, ‘Slow Dancing.’ According to the latest Billboard chart released on the 19th, V’s ‘Slow Dancing’ marks his first appearance on the Hot 100 at the 51st spot. This achievement comes after his previous entries with the OST track ‘Christmas Tree’ from the drama ‘That Year, We’ (at 79th) and the pre-release single ‘Love Me Again’ from his solo album (at 96th).

V’s solo album ‘Layover,’ which includes ‘Slow Dancing,’ also made waves by securing the 2nd position on the Billboard 200 chart, marking a significant achievement for a K-pop solo artist, alongside his fellow BTS members Jimin and Suga. Meanwhile, BTS’s Jungkook’s solo single ‘Seven’ maintained its dominance on the Billboard Global chart for nine consecutive weeks, setting a new record for the longest-running #1 by a K-pop artist, and it also continued its presence on the Hot 100 chart at 44th.

In addition, the girl group NewJeans’ second mini-album ‘Get Up’ maintained its presence on the Billboard 200 chart, ranking at 36th for eight consecutive weeks, showcasing their steady performance in the global music scene.
