ILLIT’s “Magnetic” Achieves Fastest 100 Million Streams on Spotify Among K-pop Girl Group Debut Songs

ILLIT’s debut track “Magnetic” has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, setting the record as the fastest debut song by a K-pop girl group to reach this milestone. According to Spotify, as of April 20, “Magnetic” from ILLIT’s first mini-album ‘SUPER REAL ME’ has been played over 100,392,392 times. This achievement comes just 26 days after its release, marking a new record for the fastest time a K-pop girl group debut song has reached this streaming milestone on Spotify.

The global popularity of ILLIT is unmistakable. As of today, ILLIT has over 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify, a significant increase from about 350,000 the day after their debut on March 26. This explosive growth highlights their increasing global presence.

In addition to their streaming success, ILLIT is also making impressive inroads on global music charts. “Magnetic” has entered the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100, setting records as the first and fastest K-pop debut song to achieve these feats. Domestically, “Magnetic” has dominated South Korean music charts, consistently holding the number one spot on major music platforms like Melon, Bugs, and Genie, and topping the Circle Chart’s Global K-pop, Digital, and Streaming categories for the week of April 7 to April 13, 2024.

“Magnetic” metaphorically compares the attraction to a loved one to a magnet and features contributions from top producers including Bang Si-hyuk, the chairman of HYBE.
