ITZY became the million-selling artist with their 5th mini album ‘CHECKMATE’.
Previously, ITZY’s ‘CHECKMATE’ broke the pre-order volume of 72665 copies and recorded 472,394 copies in the first week of the album counting site Hanteo Chart (the album sales for a week as of the release date), both breaking their own best record.
ITZY entered the chart at No. 148 with their mini-album ‘GUESS WHO’ in April of last year, and in September of the same year, their 1st full-length album ‘CRAZY IN LOVE’ surged to No. 11, attracting global K-pop fans. drawing attention.
The title song of the 5th mini album ‘SNEAKERS’ is popular for a long run even after its activities have ended, as it has landed in the top 10 on the weekly charts of music sites Melon and Genie (2022.08.22 ~ 2022.08.28) respectively.
ITZY completed the Seoul performance of the world tour ‘ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘CHECKMATE’, held at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium in Olympic Park on the 6th and 7th, and started their first world tour.
