Variety announced ‘Variety 500’, which selected 500 influential leaders in the global media market based on the achievements of the past year on its official website.
Soo-man Lee, general producer of SM Entertainment was in the list with CEO of Capitol Music Group Steve Barnett, president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige, Amazon Chairman Jeff Bezos, and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings.
In particular, Soo-man Lee was named for the fourth consecutive year from 2017 to 2020, since the announcement of the ‘Variety 500’ began, and is the only Korean. Director Stephen Spielberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg were selected for 4 consecutive years. Once again it confirmed the influence and status of his global achievements.
